Selection Process of NTPC Mining Overman

• Eligible candidates will have to undergo a Written Test followed by a Skill/Competency Test, as detailed below:
• 1st Stage: Written Test: In first stage, a Written Test of Total 100 marks, comprising of multiple-choice questions, covering relevant subject/discipline, will be conducted. The duration of the Test will be upto 120 minutes. Each question will carry 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The qualifying marks are: 40% marks in case case of of General/EWS category and 30% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates. The candidates will be shortlisted at an approved call ratio for 2nd stage Test.
• 2nd Stage: Skill / Competency Test: In 2nd stage, a Skill / Competency Test of total 100 marks in respective discipline will be conducted. The qualifying marks are 40% marks in case of General/EWS category and 30% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates. The candidates shall be selected on the basis of the merit in the Written Test, subject to the condition that the candidate qualifies in the Skill / Competence Test.
• Test Center: Both the 1st and 2nd Stage Tests shall be conducted at Test Centres in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The address of the venue will be notified through the admit card.

How to Apply

• Candidates are required to possess a valid email ID. NTPC will not be responsible for bouncing back of any email sent to the candidates. Candidate belonging to General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/-. 
• The SC/ST/XSM category/Land oustee & female candidates need not pay the application fee.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility criteria before paying the application fee.
• After applying online, candidate is required to download the application slip generated by the system with unique application number. Copy of application slip may be retained by the candidate for future reference. No document is required to be sent to us by post.
